When the man called me to tell me the estimate, he told me $737 for the rear brakes. I asked for a breakdown, $299 for calipers, $150 for rotors, and $100 for pads. He said on one side the caliper was completely seized and the other side wouldn’t slide. I was thinking “if it wouldn’t slide at all, why is the rotor worn out?”

Told them to put it back together, I would take it elsewhere. They said it was already back together. This struck me as fishy, as why would you put it back together if you are hoping to fix it. I don’t think they even took it apart!!!!!

This morning I took it in to Real Care Auto, just up the street. Only 1 caliper MIGHT need to be replaced as it is leaking, but they are going to try to fix it first. Max cost? $400. $89 dollars less if they can fix the caliper. $89 dollars for calipers as opposed to $150 from Tuffy.

If you like getting ripped off, definitely take your car here.

I took my truck to these idiots for a gas leak. Two small gas lines. A pump. A sending unit later. Total parts about 350 dollars. Bill was 1183 dollars. 800 in labor supposedly huh? Rip off. These guys are jack offs.

Worst place to take your car

A friend of mine told me to take my truck to turfy that a friend of his Jason is a master mechanic there and they do great job . I took my truck there trusting my friend, meet with Jason. Jason told me my oil pan needed o be replaced and he can do the job. Left my truck with Jason when I got my truck back I found out the dipstick was stuck Yes stuck .. The dipstick is half way in, you can not pull it out or push it down . And yes i still have oil leak. Jason the assistant manager at tufty can't tell me what he did wrong and have refused to fix the problem he created. I took my took to Toyota on 28 th street and they can't figure out how the dipstick got stuck and the problem now is the dipstick might be stuck to the oil pan. Jason the assistant manager have refused to take any kind of responsibility for what he did
