On November 3,2008 I went to Applebees in my home town of Wilson, N.C. to have dinner with my family. With just a few customers in the resturant we did not have to wait long to be seated which was around 6:00 pm. The waitress immediately took our drink order. It arrived shortly. Then we placed our dinner order which must have been around 6:10. We waited , waited , and waited for our food. We asked the waitress several times what was taking so long. Other customers were being served that came in way after we had. The waitress finally came by and said our food should be out shortly. We waited some more . Our water/tea glasses were never refilled. By 6:40 we are not happy. We asked another waitress for the manager No manager came. Finally 45 minutes later we received our order. It was simple stuff, like a salad, grilled chicken and other light entrees. It should not have taken 45 minutes to prepare. Then it was COLD! Finally after 30 minutes the manager came. Apologized and gave us a free meal. My point is, this is not the first time this has happen. We always have to wait for our food. I had stopped going for several months because the service is sooooo slow. I am not the only one this happens to. Someone is not doing their job. Customers are going to stop going due to poor management. I usually do not complain but this was uncalled for.
