Business History

Visalia Auto Body was established in 1948 by Lincoln "Red" LaFleur. After World War II, Red Hired Charlie Matta. Working with Red, Charlie learned the trade of metal finishing to bring cars back to their pre-accident condition. In 1963, Charlie bought the business and he kept the tradition in the family by bringing in his son Stan Matta. Charlie retired in 1990, but Stan continues serving Visalia and surrounding communities with the same high standard of repair our customers have come to expect from Visalia Auto Body.
