Let's start by saying they've MADE THE BRIDE CRY MORE THAN ONCE. Our first trip of many to Davids Bridal in South Burlington started off great. I'm a bridesmaid in the wedding. Our bride picked her dress on the first trip in. It was all oooohhs and ahhhhs from the staff. This was the LAST pleasant exchange. Next trips we picked out our bridesmaids and flower girl dresses. Once we and the bride had all picked our dresses and paid/used layaway was when the games began. We were told all of the bridesmaids gowns could be put on layaway. Once they were picked, it was "ohhh no that's only in store dresses, not ones we order. Ohhh it has to be a $200 purchase or more". WE SPECIFICALLY ASKED ABOUT LAYAWAY BEFOREHAND AND WERE TOLD WE COULD. Once we picked dresses ($150-169) they went back on their word and the bride was pressured and put on the spot to "use her credit card and we could just pay her".... That was horrible for her to be put on the spot like that. While trying on dresses we were horrified to discover that MEN ARE ALLOWED IN THE LADIES CHANGING/MIRROR AREA. They have got to be kidding?!?! It's jammed packed elbow to elbow in there as it is with only a few mirrors surrounded by ratty torn chairs for guest to sit in. If you've ever been in a ladies dressing room there's lots of locker-room type nakedness going on. On top of this we now had to contend with MEN WATCHING US!! I asked if they allowed this or if the guys had snuck in....I was informed they allow it. Disgusted. We were told the brides veil was absolutely "put in the system" by Cami. When we went back to get it, she hadn't done what she had promised. When the Bridal Gown was finally in, we went in for a try on and to set up an alterations appointment. Our bride was shoved an iPad and told to SIGN NOW FOR YOUR DRESS YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT NOW. Again, this is something she should have been told before hand. We assumed David's kept it through alterations. Nope, she was expected to take a gown home and bring it back for alterations. Anyone who knows how big and delicate these gowns are knows transporting them is something you have to prepare for. Having the gown shoes bed down her throats was yet another debacle that could have been avoided. Now, let's get to alterations: this was the worst of all. They totally screwed up the gown, the girl, I think her name was Kaitlin or Kristine....was beyond rude, wouldn't acknowledge or respond to questions, and made our bride sooo upset. After round one of alterations, she did. It keep her promise of the gown being right. They cut off trim, put pulls in the dress, and MADE US GO BUY THE SILVER THREAD TO REPAIR THE DRESS BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE SILVER THREAD. How can a professional alterations department not have thread for their dresses?More promises to get it right.....I spoke up forMy bride and this resulted in a call from the manager (she didn't know but I was there and she was in speaker) asking me to not come with her because I upset her employees. My bride tried telling g hem then that I was just speaking on her behalf because she was too upset to do it herself. Second alterations appointment....they didn't get it right the first time and promised they would this time. I truly feel they sabotaged her dress because she wasn't happy and made them fix the shoddy craftsmanship. She left today with her dress in frustration and exasperated. Bride is yet again in tears. She will be taking it to a real seamstress to hopefully fix the mess they made after paying DB over $400 to basically ruin her gown. I have never in my life written a review this long. I have never been subjected to such poor customer service. This place is just despicable. There were several other things that went wrong but at this point, I feel it falls on deaf ears. This Davids Bridal does not care about anything but money. You will not be treated well here. You will get a discount experience at best. Shame on Davids Bridal for ruining what shou

davids bridal was a HORRIBLE experience.the bride was rushed through gowns, the bridesmaids tried on one gown and if it didnt fit right the clerk would GUESS the size to order. All 8 dresses were to be in at the same time. Only 6 were in the first time so we had to drive 2 hours to pick those up, 3 of the dresses didnt fit. The rest of the dresses arrived and we had them shipped to my house. 1 was too small and the other they ordered the Wrong size to begin with, we told them an 8 and they ordered a 7! So we drove up a 3rd time! they couldnt get the same dresses in the right size, and still made us pay to have them re-shipped and to have them rushed to be here in time for the wedding! wouldnt do absolutly nothing to make up for THEIR MISTAKE! since the order took so long there was only 20 days before the wedding. If it wasnt so close I would have gone somewhere else! I will NEVER shop there again, and strongly suggest u all go elsewhere!!! had to give 1 star to submit, but deserve -5!!
