Located in Shoreline, Wash., Cats Exclusive is a full-service veterinary center designed to meet the specific needs of cats and their owners. Its veterinary services include complete physical examinations, vaccinations, surgery, pet grooming, preventive dentistry, well kitten programs, geriatric health care plans, on-site access to veterinary specialists, counseling on nutrition, behavior, breeding, pet selection and preventive health care, and microchipping. It uses special instruments to continuously monitor body temperature during surgery, and enclosed oxygen cages for cats with medical problems. Its state-of-the-art dental X-ray unit outlines a cat s teeth for better detail, allowing the center to detect common feline dental problems, such as resorptive lesions, and better determine if a tooth is salvageable. It also uses small probes attached to compact cardiac, respiratory, blood pressure and temperature monitors that allow complete assessment of all anesthetized patients, severely ill cats, and those with medical problems, such as hypertension and cardiac disease.
