General Info

· My name is Kerri Melzer Gertsman and I am a birth and postpartum doula. I support women and families both physically and emotionally during their transformative time before, during, and after childbirth. During pregnancy, I assist couples to create their desired birth plan, provide educational resources to help them prepare for birth and parenthood, and even work with the mother physically through stretches and movements to reconnect with her body, ease pain, and help naturally progress the labor. I also act as a resource to connect the mother to other specialty professionals, like midwives, doctors, lactation consultants, nutritionists, and others. I am with you throughout the whole labor and delivery providing comfort techniques as well as emotional support. Directly after the delivery of your baby, I stay with you to help you adjust with your new little one and help initiate breastfeeding. I am certified as a doula by PALS (http://www.palsdoulas.org) and have taken trainings through Bastyr University and other local professionals to build my skills.
