If I could give this store 0 stars I would. I have had the same experience as all the other reviewers. I brought in 27 items, including 2 coach bags and 1 dooney and burke bag; 3 of the items were new with tags. When a few months went by, and I inquired about my items, I was told that they could not find any of my items and that I would have to "search the store" myself to see if I could locate them. I never got my items back nor any money for all the "missing" items. I later received a phone call at MY HOME and the owner was yelling and screaming at me quite aggressively, saying that I had accused her of theft and asking me, "who do you think you are?" It was a little scary to be honest, and I was horrified and upset at the same time. CONSIGNER BEWARE. And please do not repsond to this review by saying that you "must be doing something right" because you're "business is growing." I don't want a retort; I want an apology. ...just horrible.

Bunch of crooks to add a few more words dishonest , and when you catch them in a lie disrespectfull. I brought in 8 jackets brand new with tags on them . I was told I have a check for me in the amount of $63.00 These were designer jackets each would have been easily $70. each . She said I only gave her 6 jackets and the other two must have gotten donated. Well many attempts to contact and have even gone inside to talk to someone about receiving payment. Was told my mommy wants to be here for payment or the new girl said she is now allowed to release the chech . I have gone there three visits to get paid. On visiting with the new girl in charge I told her that amount was a mistake she looked it all up cant wait to show you people what the items really were sold for. I will scan everything and then scan what I received for payment They made $293. The dumb new girl showed me all the transactions with still two missing. (donated bull) It seems when I have read all the other complaints it's all the same. So your better off going elsewhere. .$117.20 was due to me for payment I can't see dishonest people staying in business for long.

Thanks for the warning on this consignment store~I have had very good luck selling with Wear It's At in Hampstead NH and was thinking of selling items at this store in Salem since it is nearer my home. Guess I will head to Andover!

I would advise anyone looking ...

I would advise anyone looking to consign, to find a different place. Bloomingdeals took my clothes in December 2010 and I was told I would be contacted by email. I gave them many, many articles of clothing, (several that had never been worn with tags) all good quality, designer label things. I called several times to inquire if anything had been sold and was told they couldn't find my account and would get back to me. Never received a return call. Finally I went in in April 2011 and asked what had sold, I was told I had $8.00 on account. I took my $8.00, closed my account and will never go in there again. Dishonest.

I am sorry that you had a bad experience with bringing in your clothes. You said you brought in many items - I would like to see your list of clothing so I could look it up in my computer (which keeps all my inventory listed since we opened in 2009) and see where the discrepancy was. I dont understand why we said we couldnt find your acct. and if we gave you 8 dollars then that is all you sold - I dont keep peoples clothes and money - that would definitely not help my business. I am a grown responsible business owner and if anything had happened out of the ordinary with your items I would of compensated you. I have many repeat consignors and customers and if you ask any of them they will tell you that I am an honest business woman. Please feel free to bring in your contract and list of items you brought in and I will look into it.

DISGRACE

This business is a disgrace, dishonest and deceitful. I brought in many items. When I went in to the store to check to see if they sold any of my items they said they never received the item. For the items they did sell, I made nothing. They lied about how much they got for my items because I sent a friend in to purchase one of the items. Complete disgrace

I am so sorry that you felt like you were lied to and that we kept your items and sold them without giving you the money. I dont know who you talked to but I am an honest business woman and there must of been a huge miscommunication - when situations arise that involve the consignor I have done above and beyond to make the consignor happy. I have hundreds of repeat consignors and customers and if you ask anyone that knows me they will tell you how we are operating the business. I have been in business for 3 years and growing. We are doing something right!!!!!! I would love this customer to come into my store again and speak personally to me and we will get to the bottom of it.My computer stores all my inventory and I can look anything up as far back as when I first opened. I didnt understand the part where it says that your friend came in and bought one of your items?? Why didnt you take that item back when you were in the store checking on your account?? Doesnt make sense - please explain!!! What didnt we comply to that is stated on the contract????
