I usually don't post reviews but I made it a point to about this place... Do not take your pet here, I repeat, do not take your pet here! This's the worse establishment that I've ever dealt with in all of my years being a consumer in Richmond. My dog needed a couple of teeth pulled, was told that I would need to bring in a deposit of $150 to get it scheduled, went in to pay the deposit but then was told that I would have the pay the whole amount when they noticed that I was a Black person LOL! I guess if one don't pay then we all don't pay since we're all the same. Decided to get my dog groomed on his initial visit, I don't think Freddy Kruger himself would have sliced him up any better... These people are rude on top of rude. Cheapest place in town and that's not necessarily a good thing, but they'll try to squeeze every nickel out you they can by forcing unnecessary medication that your pet probably doesn't need down your throat... If you love your pet like I love mine then you should avoid this place!

I have been going to Boulevard Animal Hospital for 20 years and my parents even longer. Dr. Gray has been there with me through TPLO surgery, skin cancer, spleen removal, hematomas, cognitive dysfunction, vestibular disease, brain infection and a multitude of more simplistic issues. He has referred me to specialists within NC and VA. He listens to me play vet, is willing to try new methods and no ones to ask for a second opinion. I get irritiated when I am still waiting an hour after my apt to see him but once he shares his time with me, I understand why he is late. He is worth it. I can only hope that he continues in his practice to see me through the senior years of my current dog. While all the staff is not always friendly, I trust them and I trust Dr. Gray and Dr. Huth

Well I have used Dr Grey for ?? 30 yrs to do all my dogs litters ear cropping and tail docking and I have never had any issues with them . I was always treated nice and greeted well.. I used that lady Vet mostly for routine stuff Dr Grey tended to be just more for the ears and taiis , I took a dog to them in 1973 that was hit by a car they were close I told them I did not have money at that time and it was not my dog they set the leg and all and allowed me to pay them as I kept the little puppy .. I'd never consider another vet service..

I stopped going after they way they treated my cat with cancer. One vet tech is very unfriendly and doesn't seem to like her job.

The staff at this clinic are rude and REFUSED to help treat a very sick service dog the day before NYE!!! I will NEVER go near that place again, nor will I recommend that anyone bring their beloved pet to them.

My family and I have been taking our pets to this clinic/hospital since the 1970's and most of the staff have been absolutely wonderful. I did some price research for my pet's prescriptions and dietary foods and Boulevard is very comparable to others, lower in many cases.
