      Highly recommended. I bought my bride-to-be's engagement ring at Arthur Weeks in 1963. Recently went back to have her diamond placed in a new setting. Selection and prices of settings were excellent. First-class establishment AND people.You don't stay in business all those years otherwise. Arthur Weeks has been in business continuously since 1896 and is still operated by the same family. The lovely Hudson River scenery of the Peekskill area is a bonus. BB Bureau accredited, A+ rating. NO complaints reported.

      Arthur Weeks & Son has always been managed first-hand by the Weeks family. Certain traditions, like personal attention and service, have been important values since the inception of the business. The merchandise has been expanded over the years to include collections of designer and specialty jewelry and watches, numerous gift items, and distinctive estate jewelry. John and Doug Weeks are both registered jewelers of the American Gem Society, a prestigious designation in the jewelry industry. They both have their Diamond Degree from the Gemological Institute of America. The business is also a member of the Jewelers of America. Arthur Weeks & Son Jewelers has been defined by our history and strong ties with our community. Despite the trends for businesses to flee to high traffic locations like malls and shopping centers, Arthur Weeks & Son has been able to successfully maintain our business at our corner store in Peekskill for one reason - reputation. Like the business itself, customers have remained for generations as well, some even after moving out of the area. The trust and confidence of our customers is our primary asset. The legacy of Arthur Weeks & Son Jewelers distinguishes our business today. It began with Arthur Weeks and his partner, Gustave Holmberg, establishing themselves as watchmakers and Jewelersin 1896. They soon found a place at the corner of South and Division streets that was just right for their new business. Arthur became known for his skills as a craftsman, creating gold crosses and emblems by hand. He became the sole owner in 1910, and continued as proprietor until his death in 1930.
