I agree with the previous review and had the same experience. I only gave them 1 star also because there is no option to give ZERO stars! They claimed they never received the forms from Naval Medical Center Portsmouth to apply for a newborn social security card. Then after I went in person to do it once I called and they told me no paperwork was ever filed for my child, the man that I seen was so unbelievably rude, would not accept my ORIGINAL copy of birth & vaccine records and practically accused me of forging the documents! Then argued with me that my 6 month old baby was required to have an ID. What an idiot! There is no such thing as a baby ID card!! I have now made 3 trips there and still no social security card and can not go to a different office now that it has been started there because it's supposedly "pending". Make the drive to the virginia beach office or any other office than this one. Believe me you WILL regret going here.

If I could give this office no stars, then I would do it. The workers here are rude and ghetto. They make a huge deal out of having to go in the back and get a form. The red tape involved in doing business here is worse than at other governmental offices. They are always losing things or claiming to have never received things that were mailed to them (even though I sent it certified mail and have proof that it was received). If you are unlucky enough to have to come into the office in person, you will wait hours to be seen even though there are workers prancing around doing nothing in the back. They are incompetent, noncaring, nasty and ghetto. If you have to drive to another office to do your business (such as the Virginia Beach office), then I suggest you do so. These people are getting paid for doing absolutely nothing.
