Provided by YP.comI called to make an appt. and specified I wanted someone who was good withcutting short hair, they gave me Gina. She is an olderer women who lacked personality but definitely thought she was better than everyone. It is noticeable very early in our meeting. Well come to find out she is the previous owner and the mother of Nick the owner. My appt. was at 2:00 which I was on time for. She proceeded to talk to fellow workers and kept me waiting for 20 mins. all the time looking at me. I was getting highlights which she started and then had someone take over thru the whole process. I then went back to her chair for my haircut. I sat for over 25 mins. while she talked with her son right behind me. She did not apologize and proceeded to give me the worst haircut of my life. I go to pay and find out she $110 from a cut and $95 for highlights. Was never told this when I made the appt.. Omg the highlights were a nonexistenting color, awful. I had to wait 2 weeks and go somewhere else to have my hair fixed. Sometimes we reach an age when it's time to retire because the passion for our work declines and you start to have an attitude. This is Gina's problem. Listen Gina, your a hairdresses not a queen! You work for the client!!!! It's much to late for you to realize this I'm sure.....

Mandy is simply the best hairdresser in the world!! She has transformed my color and cut. Now people stop me to compliment my hair. Every time I am there I see people come out with gorgeous hair from all the stylists!

I have to agree with the other reviewers. I went to the Newton salon for 3 years. Initially, I felt like they did a good job but it seems that they start to take their customers for granted. The part about Nick conducting other business and talking with the staff was completely the same as what I experienced. One time he spent the entire time coloring my hair talking with the L'Oreal rep. I was serioosly upset and felt like I was paying for his time and attention but got neither. He is truly a nice guy and does have skill so I wish he would read these comments and make some changes. I have left for another salon that focuses on me while I am there. I am willing to spend money on my hair and hair products so I feel like they lost a good customer and they are completely unaware of why this happened.
