      Port Arthur, Chinese Lushun, is the name of the city and naval base in Northeastern China, which was named after a British naval officer, Captain Arthur, who visited there in 1860. The port has been given historic and military significance by the Chinese, Japanese and Russians since then. Our restaurant has been in existence on the Peninsula since 1934. We are proud to maintain the highest standard in the art of Chinese cooking and give you the utmost pleasure and satisfaction in your dining adventure at Port Arthur. Catonese (Southeastern China) cuisine is our specialty; however, our menu also includes the Mandarin and spicy dishes from the Szechuan and Hunan. We look forward serving you whether you chose to dine-in, take-out or have us cater your next special event or corporate luncheon. We have a full ABC license and Port Arthur Restaurant is available for private parties up to 85 guests. Call us for details.

      If you are looking for a nice place for a special dinner out, then this is the place to go. The food is mighty good, the atmosphere nice, the music is a good background that doesn't drown out conversation, and the price is reasonable. We get plenty to eat, and enough to take some home too.Chuck
