Absolutely the worst-terrible ...

Absolutely the worst-terrible service and incompetent staff. Not only will I never go there again, I will make it my mission to dissuade anyone else from going there either. I went to Lenscrafters for an eye exam and glasses/contact lens purchase in October 2011. At the time the optometrist told me I could get a prescription that would work, or a stronger one which would help me see more clearly (although the stronger one may give me a headache at first until I adjusted). Gee, which one would you choose? Hello? Why was I in a store buying glasses? So I selected my glasses, was told they would be ready in about five days. Two weeks later...No phone call. No glasses. I had to go to the store to find that the lab broke the frames, so they would be ready in another week. 10 days go by...no phone call. No glasses. I go back into the store. They promise the glasses will be ready on Tuesday. "Great!" says I. "I am leaving the country in three days and will be gone for several weeks". Onde day. Two days. No phone call. No glasses. I go into the store and find that the lab broke the glasses AGAIN and they won't be ready for another week (but I have to wait for an hour to find this out). So, I cancel the order and go to another store. While away, I discovered I couldn't see ANYTHING within 2 feet of my face. Upon return to NYC, I went to another optometrist, who discovered my prescription was off. WAY OFF. So, I had to pay the second place extra $$$ to change the lenses in the glasses. The only concession made by Lenscrafters (managed by Brian, a rude, foul, mouthy, business-wanna-be) was that they GRACIOUSLY replaced the UNOPENED boxes of contact lenses, but said there was nothing they could do about the expenses I incurred because they performed a faulty eye exam. When I told Rude Brian I would stand in front of the store with a sign telling everyone to STAY AWAY, he threatened to call the police and get a restraining order.
