This was one of the most beautiful and interesting of all the homes we have toured in Tennessee. It has more of its original furnishings than any other and it caretakers have kept it as authentic as possible. Our guide Taylor showed great enthusiasm ,humor, and interest in sharing his knowledge of the history of this mansion and its owners.Very reasonable fee compared to others we have toured.

I visited Nashville this week for the first time, and I chose to visit the Belmont Mansion because of the rich history within. Adelicia Hayes Franklin Acklen Cheatham was a marvelous lady who was WAY ahead of her time. She had her second and third husbands sign marriage contracts(prenups) in the 1800's. The home is beautiful, and the tour guides do not disappoint with their knowledge of the Mansion and its inhabitants. Many beautiful pieces of art, statues and paintings, beautiful marble fireplaces, and gasoliers. This is a wonderful home that is well worth a visit.
