Liar's & shady mechanics, they give you a list needing 'immediate attention' for outlandish prices, when a second opinion debunks all claims. I spent so much money on random parts & labor at that specific shop for 2 years, that I likely didn't need before I started getting second opinions, which ALWAYS negated the Midas estimate.

Still whats the harm from a simple oil change? Final straw- when my tire almost flies off my car going 75 down the HWY. The Midas estimate on the oil change days earlier wanted $300 to fix a broke wheel berring. I knew my wheel berring was bent, but didn't need immediate attention, until my wheel tried to leave my car. So I gave Midas the benefit of the doubt. Made an apt, but first I went to my reliable 2nd opinion, took one look at my tire & noticed the last person to put my tire on (Midas) didn't tighten the bolts! They put me in danger, & then would have comfortably charged me $300 for a broken wheel berring.

Not even for a seemingly innocuous oil change.
