General Info

Zoo Miami (also known as The Miami-Dade Zoological Park and Gardens) is the largest and oldest zoological garden in Florida, and the only tropical zoo in the continental United States. The unique climate in South Florida allows us to keep a wide variety of animals from Asia, Australia and Africa, representing a broad mix of species that is unlike any other zoo in the country. Our animals are grouped according to their geographic territories, with species that live together peacefully in the wild placed in exhibits together here at the zoo. Our trees, foliage and even our soil are matched as closely as possible to the native habitats of our animals. Admission Prices: $17.95 Adult (13+), 13.95 Child (3-12), Free for Children under two, Free for Annual Pass Holders, Free Parking, $8 Valet parking on Weekends and Holidays. Miami Zoo has Group discounts, AAA Member discounts, Military, Senior, Travel Agents, Tour Operator and Miami-Dade County Employee Discounts. Annual Membership packages are available

It was a FAR drive but like theyr ads say, it really was fun for the whole family. All the kids in my family, my own kids, my nephews and nieces, even my 92 year old grandmother loved it! The heat almost killed us but the park revived us. The zoo was bigger than we expected, my kids were like lost in wonderland they didn't want to leave. I heard others complain about the smell before I went, honestly I didn't smell anything, I think those peeps just have sensitive noses. I absolutely loved this zoo! You don't have to go out of the state to enjoy seeing and knowing a big variety of animals. This place is absolutely great!
