Provided by DexKnowsOver the last seventeen years I have been to Porters at least fifty times. How many times have I had a bad or cold meal, if any, I just don't remember. What I do know, I always look forward to going there. As in any business something can go wrong and if that would happen too many times, well, you wouldn't have a business. I have gone to Porters with just my wife and at other times with a large group and we have always enjoyed ourselves there.

A great place to take out of town guests. Consistently good food and service. With the bonus of an Old West historic atmosphere. I recommend it with confidence.

Provided by YP.comyesterday was our anniversary. We had one of your curtain booths. That was the most romantic dinner We've ever had. The food was great, the service was wonderful. Your complimentary desert was to die for. We just want to thank you for such an awsome time. We plan on being back next year. Thank you so much for the card you all signed. I don't remember our waitress name. but she was awsome. Cam & Debbie Silva

Provided by DexKnowsthe service was so bad, the staff just looked like they didn't want to be there or care at all about their job. the food, when it finally got to the table was not as good as mc donalds. (i wouldn't eat at mc donalds if you paid me to!) the building had a certain charm, but that was all this place had going for it. save your money and go down the street for good food & outstanding service. this place isn't even worth the trip in!

Provided by DexKnowsI too had a problem with the lack of interest from the manager when I tried to address the fact that my food took way too long, and by the time I got it was cold! Considering I ordered a hot meal and did not get that or any type of resolution I find the prices to be way too high for the quality of food they present you with. I have no problem paying for a high end meal, but expect the quality to be there, and the manager to make your experience good when you let them know you are less than satisfied! I only wish I would have read the reviews before we chose this as a place to celebrate our anniversary!

Provided by DexKnowsover priced slop is what they are serving up here. the restaurant is beautiful, but the service was a little less than mediocre, and the food was just bad. the asst mgr shayla was not helpful, and was annoyed that we interrupted her gossip session to tell her our thoughts on the bad experience.

Provided by DexKnowsWe were looking for a good place for our party of 12. Their policy stated that we had to have a single check and an 18% gratuity is added. We were told that we should expect less than average service since we were a large group and that is why they charged the gratuity. When voicing my concern, we were told by Marty the General Manager, "We would rather not set your reservation" I don't believe you should have to pay 18% for poor service and from what I read mediocre food. If poor service and unfriendly management is what they call fine dining. I will take my business elsewhere. I hope the owners of Porters read this, as when I asked Marty who I could voice my concern with, he stated "the buck stops here" and abruptly ended the call.
the best fine diner in Medford for overall menu and srvice. The building was actually the train depot for Medford for many years and it is been well preserved. The menu is great the bar is a wonderful place to meet for business. Over all the best in Medford..

Provided by YP.comI wasn't as impressed as the hype had led me to expect. The food was alright, but pretty spendy. The atmosphere was ok.

A must go dinner house! Fine foods that make you want to come back. The atmosphere compliments the meal.

Provided by DexKnowsIt's a renovated train depot and has the characteristic dark wood and elegant touches of a different era. Several dining areas and pleasant lounge area too which has reasonably priced finger food. Menu is a wonderful selection of pacific northwest so I always bring guests here who want to experience the finest local foods. Outdoor patio area cooled by water spritz, just perfect for a large party, reception or after work.

Provided by DexKnowsI enjoyed eating at Porters very much. I thought the food was very good, and the service was fast. The retaurant has a very nice atmosphere, for family outings or dates. It is a bit pricy, so it isn't an occasioal dining place for me. i would recommend this restaurant for business dinners, important guest, or a very nice date.
