Very honest and does great work!

I have brought my PT Cruiser to Blum's Auto Repair many times. Dave is always upfront with me about what the costs are and does not proceed with anything without my approval. When doing the repairs Dave and his mechanics are always quick to get me in and out and back on the road. They even go the extra mile and wash my car so it looks nice and clean and doesn't have smudge marks from them touching it while they fixed it. Dave has been good enough in the past to stay open alittle late for me as I don't get off work till 6pm and he will keep the door open for me to come in and pick up my car after work.

Outstanding place with honest mechanics, I would recommend it to anyone.

Know the industry before you judge

Any auto repair place is going to charge you for diagnosing your car. Pepboys charges $89.00 and most shops are between 45 and 90 dollars for diagnosing your car's symptoms. Just because you come in and say you think the battery is dead, doesn't really make it so. It could be many things, altenator, starter, spark plugs, etc. The mechanic will make sure to verify what is really the problem with your car. If you actually knew more about the diagnosing the car then why take it to automotive repair places to begin with... you could just do it yourself. Sounds like you don't have alot of experience automotive repair places. You would probably be happier going to the dealership where they will most likely charge you double what the small mechanics will. Also if you knew it was a battery then why didn't you just goto NAPA auto parts store yourself and buy a battery and replace it yourself? Oh yea... that's what you pay the mechanic to do if you don't have the skills to do it yourself.

BAD SERVICE-DO NOT USE!

My daughter had her car towed to the garage with a dead battery, they wanted to charge $200.00 just to replace the battery. When we said that was too much, they sill charged us $50.00 for telling us the battery was dead which we already knew, that's why we had the car towed to them! The owner was VERY RUDE to me and even hung us on me, he locked our car in the garage and told us we had to bring the $50 in cash or he would not release the car! DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!!!!
