sending me emails for items I had browsed online (which their price was really great) but when I go back a couple days later to complete my purchase after getting their emails about the same item, the same price ----- the items were not in stock, priced much higher or discontinued.
There's a lot of BAD REVIEWS - I can see why now - and I'm not interested doing business with BUD's............period. !

Recently on a NRA Firearms for Freedom auction hosted by BudsGuns.com, I won an antique Sharps Military Rifle for a rather pricey amount on 10/27/2016. I was immediately contacted after the close of the auction to inform me that I had won the auction and to give me instructions regarding contacting them and paying for the rifle. Within their prescribed payment terms, I sent them a personal check for the cost of the rifle, insurance and shipping. The day after they received the payment, they cashed my check and said that the rifle would be shipped after 5 business days had passed. On 11/08/2016, I received an e-mail that said the rifle was being moved to the shipping department for shipment to my local FFL holder. Shortly afterwards, I received a phone call from their business location telling me that the rifle had been sent to the NRA Museum and they would refund my money and give me a gift certificate to be used at Bud's in one way or another. Due to the length of time that had occurred between winning the auction and the shipping notice, I was not at all happy about what I was being told, especially when they have a statement in their earlier correspondence telling me that "Any auction or "Buy It Now" sale is a binding contract between the buyer and the seller on eGunner.com." To me, this notification from Bud's is a direct breach of contract by BudsGuns.com. I will also be contacting the NRA Headquarters demanding an answer from them as to how they can claim a rifle that I won on one of their NRA Firearms for Freedom auctions. If necessary, I will look into a possible lawsuit.

Expensive and slow shipping. If you're in a hurry order from anywhere else. Placed my order 6 days ago and its still sitting in the warehouse unshipped. Prices for shipping on nonffl items are ridiculous.

There is a reason why Bud's is beginning to get so many bad reviews. They are arrogant, disrespectful, and don't value their customers. When a customer complains they push them away by blocking their account. Their perspective is to do business with only people who are happy. When I called to speak to a supervisor, he was very rude and told me that he doesn't want to do business with unhappy customers. I told him they are a business, and you will always have unsatisfied customers, his response was "and those are the people we don't do business with." I responded and asked, so your business strategy is to push problems away rather than making it right? I don't see how they will sustain a competitive advantage with their competitors, since there are so many other places to purchase guns from. I asked to speak to a manager and he said the same thing, and actually added "We don't need your money here." I was irate, and to top it off, their supervisor hung the phone up on me.

We have had nothing but problems with them from day one! They are extremely arrogant, self-righteous and only want to hear "How great they are!" And have no interest in "your" problems with "their" service.... And seriously. How does "any" gun shop sell and ship a FIRED & UN-CLEANED" firearm to a new customer? And if you complain? Here's what they do! "They Delete your account!" ...... "NEVER AGAIN!" :(

Ok, go ahead....
He proceeds to tell me that I DEMANDED them to send me a new set of night sights which Is not true because I asked, NOT demanded (and thats why I advised for a call tag to pick it up and refund me.) And because I said I would obviously post to social media of my "review" they blocked me from the website to prevent me from being able to post this on their page.

Budsguns, I hope you get a chance to read this and understand this. I will NEVER refer any single person to your site EVER again, I will ALWAYS put your company on blast as to the horrible experiences I have had with your company MULTIPLE times, not only with quality, customer service but also with your billing dept.

I may only be ONE CUSTOMER, but believe me when I tell you this, I will make sure you lose MANY more customers.

If I could give this place 0 stars i would!!! Buds in Lexington KY is a disgrace to gun shops everywhere!!! After wasting over $1000 bucks and 5 separate trips there i finally asked to speak to a manager, of course she was shocked to hear her employees were acting like douche bags but then stood there with a blank look when i asked her the reason for their disrespect towards my wife and I, needless to say i'll never be back and i'll encourage EVERY SINGLE PERSON I MEET to take they're business elsewhere!!! I don't understand how they stay in business lol they're overpriced, incompetent, and like i said a disgrace to gun shops EVERYWHERE......

Bait and switch tactic. I called to order a gun, but had to hang up to call the ffl guy to update his information to complete the order. Called back to place the order, they increased the price on the same gun significantly. They claim price changes all the time on their system and nothing they can do. I know they changed the price because I called in with interest and knew I was calling back to order after Ffl cleared. It's dishonest to change price within a mater of 10/15 minutes of order. No wonder they have so many bad reviews, wished I read them first before I waisted my time on them.

I have never been treated with such disrespect at any establishment. I went in to buds looking for a glock 17. They had a few generation 2 glocks in stock. They where used, did not come with any magazines, case, lock or manuals. And they where wanting over 400$! I offered him a fair deal for a gun in that bad of condition that did not come with anything, I was told "You can take your money somewhere else and good luck finding anything better" the next day I went to Duty Firearms in Winchester Kentucky. He had a generation 3 glock 17 that was 99% could never tell it had been fired. It came with 2 magazines a case a lock a loading assist tool and trijicon night sights along with a rubber grip and he let me have it for 475. I went to buds the next day to show off my buy and they said "who did you steal that from" they are the most disrespectful people iv ever been around. I'll never support Buds Gun Shop. If your in the Market for a Gun go somewhere else unless you want to pay a huge markup fee and be treated with disrespect.

Worst inventory management/shipping and customer service. I have had mixed experiences with this shop over years. Price is fairly good but nothing else. They post item they don't have in stock and took days to find that out. Reserve order didn't work but charged me upfront. And send me incorrect items. This is it. Not a penny more. I am done with this shop.

If you like being completely treated like crap as a customer this is the place to shop. Save yourself the trouble and read the hundreds of negative reviews online first. These people don't care about your business because they have plenty of other people waiting in line right now. Absolute garbage.

Getting Passed Off And Having To Repeat Why I Was Calling Only To Get Past Off Once Again

I called for a number of questions today ended up back in the Internet shop she transferred me out onto the floor which nobody answered it took 4 to 5 I think the fifth time someone finally answered I was looking for ammo a gun holster and a shotgun. Each representative that I spoke with put me on hold and then when someone else picked up and they asked what they could help me with and I told him and they put me on hold and then somebody else picked up asked what they can help me with I think you can see where this is going. They need their phone system set up better and more knowledgeable representatives or store iPads they can carry and they can just type in what ever it is you're looking for quick search and let you know if it's in the store or not.

I am writing this review 153 days after making my purchase of an M1A Scout with Mossy Oak stock from Bud's Gunshop. I am still waiting for the rifle to ship. I have not been given any information from Bud's Gunshop regarding time frame for my rifle to ship. I contacted Bud's Gunshop customer service around day 90, they told me I could cancel for my full refund since it had been 90 days. I asked them to be as vague as to let me know if I would see my rifle within the next six months or not. They could even have said, "Hey you are number 100 on the list and number 43 just get their rifle last week." That would be all I need to know at some point I can expect to see my rifle in this lifetime. I just want my rifle, I want to know why it has been 153 days since i ordered my rifle. I understand that they are having a high volume of purchases due to current events. I still paid $1600 up front for an item and have been sitting with nothing for 153 days. I do not recommend making a purchase from Bud's Gunshop unless you too want to wait at least 153 days for your product when paying in advance. I will never purchase from Bud's Gunshop again. I have posted this review on several sites now I hope it helps you make an educated choice on where to make your next firearm purchase and hopefully help Bud's Gunshop fix an obvious service issue.

Bud's is the real deal

This is one of the very largest retailers of any kind on the internet & we are lucky they are here in Lexington. I used to go to all these small shops and get treated like I owed them something just for looking around. Buds is a huge shop, with nice employees (and lower priced than 90% of other shops) who are happy to show you guns - instead of grumpy old men at the "old shops" who act like they could care less why you are in the store. Most of these 1 star reviews must be competitors, because I have bought about 4-5 guns from Buds and will never go to another gun shop again. I have also ordered twice from their website with 0 problems. And this guy reviewing before mine, really dude - you want them to post your criticisms of their prices on a product review page???

I cannot believe budsgunshop.com . I had always heard fantastic things about this website and after ordering a product, I decided to write a review. They completely edited my review and took out all the negative things I had to say. I cannot believe the dishonesty.



"5 Stars for magpul, 4 stars for Buds. Technically this is a product review so I'll start by saying that you cant go wrong with Magpul. Everything they make is great. Get the 30 round mags while you still can. Now as far as Buds goes... This was my first purchase from buds. And my overall experience was a good one. Ordered these on Sunday, had them in my hands on Thursday (that famous fast shipping I kept hearing about). The only reason I gave them 4 stars was because of price. These are normally 10-15$ mags and I paid 40$ each. Not very happy about that. I understand with a potential assault rifle/High capacity magazine ban underway that prices have inflated in most places... but not all. I can still find them for cheap on many websites but they are on back-order and I am impatient. I guess I had hoped that buds would hold itself to a higher standard and would not have jumped on the "price inflation" bandwagon like so many other have."

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced!! The best thing you can do at this point is RUN!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!! They send your items to wrong addresses and then tell you that you are at fault and wont do anything to take responsibility for there mistakes. Now I am out on items they sent to the wrong address and just had UPS just leave on the porch!! Unbelievable!! I even verified that the shipping address was correct when I made the order and they still sent it to the wrong address and then to tell me "Tough" when I present them with the problem. Cant believe this company is even in business with this type of service, could only be a lack of options for people to buy firearms. I am confident that when firearm production catches up with demand this place will see a drop in sales and rightly so with this type of service. Worst experience ever!! I wouldn't buy from this company in the future even if they were the only company with life saving drugs!!
