The Staff is very nice, but if you want a vet who cares about your pet DON'T GO TO Dr. Alison Flanigan. All she is concerned with is your money. Her rates are high. Her bed side manner is nonexistent. if you can even get her for an emergency she will not rush in and charge you out the nose. Compassion is a feeling she is not capable of. Do yourself a big favor and find someone who actually cares about animals not just her wallet.

Lake Placid Animal Hospital was opened in 2010 by Dr. Alison Flanigan. Here at LPAH we strive to offer top of the line care for your pets, and we treat them as though they are our own.. THIS IS NOT THE EXPERIENCE I HAD!!!! She seems most concerned with money not her patients or owners. Clinical with no bedside manner. If you want a vet to care about your pet and not just payment I suggest going somewhere else.

The vet has an attitude. Tried to get a prescription so I could get my dogs' meds from a reputable online pharmacy and she tried to refuse and bully me into buying from her. She was going to cancel our dogs's tests but the tech ha already run them the samples (unprofessional in my opinion). I was able to get a prescription only after some arguments and I recited to her what the law was in NY regarding vets and prescriptions (which she had to know). My dogs also always had diarrhea after visiting there (sometimes bloody). This has never had happened at any other vets. Would not recommend at all. Better to go High Peaks in Ray Brook. Their prices are comparable and no attitude (and no diarrhea).
