The food is ok. Not badly done, the salad bar is fresh enough, but the steak can be tough. The ambience is dreary. The service is variable depending on who's on. Probably functions more as a neighborhood hang out than anything else. Won't be going back given the range of brighter, happier, more "with it" choices in the same area and price range.

I am 50 years old and we have been coming here since I was about 8 or 9 years old. Just a few years ago when my family and I met my parents up there for a birthday lunch and my father had a diabetic reaction and Jim Berrios came running out with orange juice for him and then when he was stable he helped him inside so we could get him something to eat. They are the nicest people. We always get good food and good service there.

If you really want a great steak with excellent flavor and prepared to your liking at a reasonable price, Golden Steer is the place. Jim and Suzanne Berrios, owners, take pride in selecting excellent grades of meat. The service staff is well trained and take pride in their friendly service. If you're a vegetarian, the menu has a lot of wonderful choices! A wide variety of menu choices!

Got a roast beef samdwich there and was not that good. Average at best

This is one of those restaurants that gets over looked. It has been in the same place in Kent for years. If you are looking for a new breakfast place try this one. They have a great breakfast buffet on Sundays and holidays. Great menu all day.
