I have taken my dog here twice and will continue to do so. You can tell that the owner has a genuine love for the animals. I have personally seen her cut dogs who will not allow anyone to even get close to them. I spoke to one client whose terrier had been banned from 3 groomers. Watching him get trimmed at Chichies you could not imagine why. I was told that when they opened many years ago their primary business was from all of the worst behaved dogs in PG county, who would not be groomed by anyone else. I would recommend this groomer to anyone with any breed of any temperment. I was nervous about leaving my puppy at first, and stayed with him for the first visit. I watched her groom 2 dogs before my own puppy, and now have no reservations about leaving my puppy here. The prices are reasonable and the service is top notch. The fears of disease are totally unfounded, and probably an attempt to justify irrational worry. Hope this helps you and your dog.

I have been taking my poodles to be groomed here for years. I am never disappointed by the way my dogs look when I pick them up. Most of their clientele are decades-old, satisfied, returned customers. The styles and cut are nothing short of show-quality professional. I used PetSmart in the past to groom my dogs & was highly disappointed. I could have done a better job myself. In the many, many years I have used them I have never experienced or heard about others with a problem of infection by other dogs.

While the groomers here are very friendly and knowledgeable, they do not require or even ask for ANY proof of vaccination. This is potentially dangerous because any dog could come in with rabies, kennel cough, parvo (highly contagious & deadly) and transmit these diseases. I will never take my dog here again.
