I've been a customer of this restaurant for over 6 years. However, in the last year or so I started noticing the quality of the food was not as it was when I first started going there years ago. So, I decided to go back about 5 months ago on a weekday at lunch time. They served dim sum, but the choices were limited and the food was subpar in that it was cold and the shrimp and scallop dumplings outer skin was rubbery. However, I decided to go back lst week on a Sunday and arrived at 1215. Packed, I thought a good sign. BUT, they had the audacity to sell us cold food from at least the day before. I could tell because FIRST, the shrimp and scallop dumpling skins were again rubbery and the food was cold. I was brought some pork pastries and they crumbled in my fingers because they were old and they were cold. I asked our lackluster waitress to provide hot pastries. She left and came back with the same (I think) cold pastries. I told her the restaurant had gone down hill and the pastries were still cold and she smiled. We left. I'll never go back. As I looked around I saw a lot of unhappy faces AND the food was taking forever to go around. They had few carts and substandard food and unfriendly waitresses. What an unpleasant meal. We left in a hurry.

I have been a customer of the Fortune Restaurant for years. Although I no longer reside in the Northern Virginia area, it is still tops on my list for Dim Sum and each time I return to the National Capitol Region, I make it a point to meet my friends for Sunday Dim Sum.
