Marianne is truly gifted. Her massage technique is just the way I like it; head to toe, toe to head and what a relaxing experience it was. I prefer relaxing massages and although she can give deep tissue and a variety of other types of massage, on the day I went to West Island Massage I was suffering from two broken ribs. I was a bit intrepid about having a massage with this type of injury, but any fears I had were vanquished after the experience. Indeed, I needed to relax my body to allow it to heal and this was the perfect way to do it.



I would have to say that this was the best massage I have ever had and with the location within walking distance of my home, I can finish my massage experience with a relaxing stroll along the beach.



More than ever, I feel massage should become as routine as having one's hair cut or any other aesthetic treatment. In fact, it should be even more frequent!

West Island Massage is my provider of choice! I have gone to many massage therapists in the past and have liked Marianne so much I have stuck with her for years! She is great about asking me about my preferences regarding pressure and tolerance, etc. And she has really helped me through some rough times with chronic back and neck pain. I regularly recommend her to friends and family! Her office is clean and relaxing (always a plus!) and it is always a pleasure to visit West Island!

I had a great experience at West Island Massage Therapy. The interior was calm and comfortable and the hours are very flexible, my session was on a Sunday morning... The massage table was covered with lots of cozy blankets! During the massage my therapist focused on my problem areas but completed a full deep tissue body massage. She really loosened muscles concentrating on my problem areas and still giving me a full body massage. The massage oils smelled great and I was asked to relax and take my time in getting ready to leave. This massage therapist seemed to care about me; unlike some spas where you go and feel like you're just another person walking through the door.

Marianne is one of the best therapists I have ever been to. She is friendly and very professional. She starts each session with a detailed intake to make sure all concerns are addressed. Her office is beautiful; very calming and relaxing. Highly recommended.
