WHY SHYRA AND MANAGEMENT ARE UNPROFESSIONAL

Horrible customer service! I've got almost black hair. Shyra turned my hair orange instead of blonde. She had an unlicensed receptionist (per Shyra the receptionist hadn't started beauty school yet but was planning to) mix my hair color in the back unsupervised and also had the unlicensed receptionist blow dry and straighten my hair, I am in the works of reporting this to the WA state board. I told Shyra right away I thought my hair looked orange so she offered to darken it. I declined that offer because I wanted blonde hair. Later I emailed her with my before and after pic as she requested and I also added in the email I wanted my hair more blonde and I pointed out what I thought was missing. Well I never got an email back or a phone call I sent the email Monday and called Thursday and still never got a call from her or even a manager. Friday I called again and was told by Mike (a partner of the owner) that Shyra was offended by my email and they were gonna refund me an I am to go somewhere else. Not even the manger of this salon cared to show any concern for my hair being this way. I've spoken with a professional hairstylist at Gary Manuel salon (salon is rated # 1 in WA on king 5) said that my hair can not get that blonde with out frying it so I would need 2 applications and that Shyra should have informed me of this in the beginning. What kind of stylist is ok with letting a potential lifetime customer walk away unhappy then gets offended when told the customer is not satisfied? She's fake for smiling in my face and then getting mad when I'm Unsatisfied. I will never recommend this salon due to lack of respect to paying customers and unprofessional communication. I would have loved to have her fix my hair but instead Shyra and the manager/owner treated me like a lost cause instead of a friend/customer. It's very hurtful and I can say I've never had this experience in the world of customer service. I cant believe the lack of concern I am getting from this company that claims to be so great. I hope this post is helpful to Shyra as she is still very young and only 4 yrs experience. *Also while I was there the only person who would flash a smile was a man who I think was a manager? He would smile at me if we made eye contact yet all other employees looked awkward like they had to keep there mouths shut, I would even notice stares due to my mixed hair being so thick and beautiful, yet the stares were not followed by smiles, the stylists would just look away if they were caught staring. I totally felt out of place and not very welcomed there. This message can be a lesson or a blessing depending on the reader.P.S. Kids in high school often have confrontation issues due to lack of communication skills they have yet to obtain in their adulthood. Shyra got offended immediately by my email instead of calling me to talk about it and offer to fix it or could make things better. If she would have called me her misinterpretation of my email when have been resolved. Getting offended with out even emailing me back or calling me is lack of communication and Shyra suffers from this, leading her to be safely labeled as immature. People of this nature often have trouble in relationships rather in love, family or friendship. *Good employees come from great management. Its starts from the top and bad employees usually means uncaring management. *Just a tip*By the way it seems there was a lot of changes made within this salon over the last few years and this being there most recent post says a lot about how they are operating today.Sorry this is so long :(

May I ask what brand of keratin do you use??? And what you charge for long hair? I just had mine done from another salon and it fried my hair. Don't like the way it feels so Iwnt to make sure not to have the same brand used next time... Thank you your hopefully future customer :0)

Never again will I go back. Took over 4 1/2 hours for them to bleach my hair to add color for a partial foil, do a base color and cut my daughters hair (which took 10 mins.). At the end I had to reschedule another appt. due to the color not holding. To top off the evening the stylist tried to charge me for a cut that we did not have time for. The following appt. took over 2 hours to reapply the color then an additional 10 mins. to cut my hair. I left somewhat satisfied. Glad it was finally done, disappointed I had to come in again. Just 2 weeks after my last appt. I noticed my color already fading....A year ago I did the same thing, which by the way took 2 1/2 hours, and the color was still in when I went to Absolut. I called, made another appt. which they said they would do for free. When I get there they had the audacity to try and charge me for colored extensions or add the color again. I should have left when I saw the girl next to me crying cuz they messed up her blonde highlights

I had not had my hair professionally cut in over 20 years. I went to Absolut and they were wonderful. They looked at my hair helped me choose a style and talked to me about upkeep etc. They even helped me choose the best products based on my hair type. Everyone there was very kind and curtious. I would reccommend them without hesitation.

I have been going to Absolut Hair for 5 years and through 2 ownerships to get my hair cut, colored, and styled by Skye. She even did mine and my whole wedding party's up dos'. She is an amazing artist of hair and quite possibly a mind reader. I highly recomend her for any style or color as I have had many!

Jessee (Owner/Designer) has cut my hair for many years now. I have very difficult hair and he has been able to do things with it that others can't. His talent in all aspects of hair is way above others in the field. Now my kids get their hair done by Jessee as well. He has become a great friend and is an excellent stylist and a great businessman. I would recommend Absolut Hair to anyone! Thank you for all you do. You are ALL the best!

The owner-designer really knows his stuff and eased my concerns upon first appointment. Long-time customer of Absolut Hair and wasn't sure about staying on as clientele when the prior owner sold the business. I really was not looking forward to shopping around for a new hairdresser. We all know how stressful THAT can be! .But after 4 haircuts/colors on my long hair am still a happy client. The salon owner/designer seems to know just what I want and how to make it so! I was referred by one of Jessee's oldest clients and I am so grateful to her!! My daughter and I went in and it was wonderful from the first moment...Friendly, clean and everyone was so nice!! I've had curly hair all my life and was never taught how to take care of it so that it could live up to it's potential...Jessee taught me the tricks and I walked out of there feeling so proud of how I looked!! My daughter only need a trim and Sky took an extra step and braided it for her...she felt so grown up and special!! They are awesome and we'll be back in 10 weeks!!

For the first time in a very long time I have a haircut that I love. It's more than a haircut, it's an actual style. I feel revived and renewed. I am so happy to have found this salon. It was a great atmosphere. Professional and homey. I really feel as though the stylist listened to my likes/dislikes and created something just for me. I look forward to going back and will definately recommend Carrie to my friends.

This salon is a jewel in the sea of salons! The stylists are special talents -- they are artists! I've been seeing Skye for many years -- she's such a gift and she helps me feel great with the way she styles and colors my hair! If you're looking for quality design and hair care, a friendly "I care about you" attitude, and a price structure that won't break your pocket book, Absolut Hair is a must! Hats Off to the Owners, Managers, and Artists!

They always do a great job with my hair. I have a friend who works here but even if I didn't have any friends here I would still recommend this salon. The atmosphere is very spa like and the staff is very friendly.

No one in this salon was stuffy or to good for me!! I loved that they talked to me and we understood each other!! Everyone was so NICE and I went out of that salon for the first time LOVING my hair!!! I'm telling all of my friends and going back!!
