I have been going here for over 10 yrs. Her cakes are very good. The caramel is my favorite. Some years back I had the same problem with my caramel cake sliding off and when I called to let her know she acted like it was my fault. So I stopped going for about a year. After that I started going back until just recently. When I arrived there was a sign on the door stating that they had no slices, so I called to ask and she stated with a slight attitude girl I'm only concentrating on whole cakes for thanksgiving I don't have time for no slices. Well with that said I was embarrassed because I had her on speaker phone and had just bragged about her cakes to my friend who wanted to taste her cake for a big convention she was having. She wanted to purchase a slice of everything to taste so that she could purchase a dozen of them. I am currently looking to find me another bakery.

I picked up a caramel cake today and I was extremely disappointed with the cakes appearance. I was charged $38.00 and I wanted to scream when I arrived home and opened the box. The top layer is significantly off center with the portion of the second layer that was exposed perfectly frosted; which let me to realize that the person who frosted the cake was aware of the placement. The cake was also placed off center on the cardboard plate which caused one side of the cake to rub against the box.

Great Homemade Cakes........a little pricey, but I don't mind paying a little more for quality.-crystal

Claudette's cakes are SOOOOO good. I would recommend her cakes to everyone....I love the carmel, german chocolate and double chocolate cakes. She is super busy at the holidays, so call ahead well in advance to get your cake!She does basic cakes in round and sheet......she is no ACE of Cakes, but they are simple homemade cakes like your grandma would make.

I've been eatting the Cake Lady's cakes for years and they have been consistent in taste and price. Her cakes remind you what your grandma used to bake for special occasions. I love them!

By far, the best bakery I've come across in Michigan. I've tried several of cakes (Red Velvet, Caramel, Chocolate) and these cakes are the best (moist, quality ingredients, and slices/cakes are humonguous, good price). I was introduced to The Cake Lady when I bought a slice of the Red Velvet Cake and I instantly fell in love with it. Since that time, I've ordered several whole Red Velvet cakes. Whenever I try someone else's red velvet came (either store bought or homemade) none, absolutely none, have come close to the taste/flavor and presentation of this southern treat like The Cake Lady has.



I highly recommend this bakery. The owner is awesome, very friendly and her cakes are simply the best. Customer Service is exceptional.
