General Info
Started in 1979, Barb City Manor is a nonprofit retirement home that looks after persons 60-years-of-age or older who are in ambulatory and in good health. The center s activity coordinators organize the chapel services, social activities and arts and crafts programs. Some of the activities include game night, monthly birthday parties, crossword puzzle hour, Body Recall, ice cream social, bingo, Koffee Klatch, travelogues and craft circle projects. FRIENDS, an auxiliary of Barb City Manor, was organized in 1981 to promote the health and welfare of residents, contribute to the Resident Endowment Fund, enhance the facilities and to publicize Barb City Manor. The center is located in DeKalb, Ill.

Barb City Manor is spick and span, they keep it nice and clean for their residents.
My Dad has lived here for years and he absolutely loves it. The residents are welcoming, the staff is friendly and keep the residents busy with activities and trips, and the transportation is great.

My overall experience with Barb City Manor has been great. The transportation services are very nice and the food is wonderful as well.
The best part of Barb City Manor is the transportation services that they have to offer. My mother uses them and I know that she really enjoys it.

What I like most about Barb City Manor is that everyone is so friendly and that makes me feel very comfortable knowing my loved one is in a happy place.
I know that my father is in good hands at Barb City Manor and that someone will be there whenever he needs anything. It is very reassuring knowing that he has constant eyes on him.

All of the people living at Barb City Manor seem very happy when I go there to visit my grandfather. Everyone is always smiling.
