Consistently great food & well-trained service. Our server today was outstanding in both attitude & service! Such a pleasant experience!

Salad bar is always fresh. Meat is superior quality. Service was great!

We live about an hour from the Beef House. Still when we want to treat ourselves, it is one of the two places we go. As a beef specialty restaurant they have many outstanding beef entrees. The ribeye is my favorite. They serve delicious fresh, hot rolls with the smoothest strawberry jam. The salad bar offers great selection and each item is fresh and tasty. Finally, the wait staff are all first class. Special event? Treat the one you adore to a great night out at the Beef House.

Dined at The Beef House this week. Still one of the best in the Midwest. Great variety, always fresh, friendly and attentive staff. Wish I lived closer.
0I have been going to the Beef House since the early 70's.
My parents even used to go to the original Beef House.
While I like their steaks and rolls, I have consistently seen a major ATTITUDE PROBLEM with the owner and the management. Here are my observations:
1. Unlike almost every restaurant on the planet, the Beef House staff does not ask you how you liked your meal when you are paying and leaving the restaurant.
2. The cashier help is frequently rude and dismissive instead of warm and friendly.
3. The owner usually wears an unsmiling scowl on his face.
4. There are NEVER tomatoes on the salad bar for the lunch specials. This makes them appear 'cheap'.
The rolls are excellent, many of the waitresses are great, the building is lovely .... but ....
I just can't overlook arrogance. They don't hand out customer surveys, they don't respect where you want to sit, and you are frequently made to feel 'unspecial' and 'just another body' at the Beef House.
We stop here any chance we can get when traveling.

- The Beef House, founded in 1964, offers a variety of appetizers, salad, sandwiches, entrees and soups. It serves chicken tenders, french-fried zucchinis, pasta, applesauce, grilled portabella mushrooms and Caesar salad. The restaurant s seafood menu includes filet of Alaskan cod, grilled halibut, gulf shrimp, sea scallops, tilapias, Atlantic salmon and crab legs. It offers a special menu for children that include hamburgers, chopped sirloin, chicken legs, Alaska cod filet, rib eye steak and french-fried shrimp.
