- Conveniently located just outside Boston and easily accessible by public transportation, Longyear Museum offers exhibits, publications, and programs on the life of one of America's most noted women, Mary Baker Eddy. Mrs. Eddy discovered Christian Science in 1866 and spent over 40 years making her discovery known through healing, writing, and teaching. The Museum has three main exhibits and a Library and Store. Free admission. Free on-site parking. Wheelchair accessible. Eight houses where Mrs. Eddy lived are owned by Longyear.
