Established in 1985, Bridgeport Child Advocacy Coalition focuses on the health and education of children living in the region. It works through various task forces that include parents, community leaders, clergy, service providers and government representatives. Each task force works in the areas of early child care and health and family economic improvement. Also known as BCAC, the organization is a coalition of more than 80 member organizations, including the American Association of University Women, Bridgeport Hospital, Mount Aery Baptist Church and the Jewish Center for Community Services. Bridgeport Child Advocacy Coalition provides research-based data, community planning and education and mobilization and advocacy information. The organization is located in Bridgeport, Conn.
