Hello, PLEASE READ I am very sad to write a bad review on Bermudez but I have to tell everyone so hopefully they will not go through what I did. I own a 2006 Mercedes E350 with 100 thousand miles, It would not start one day. I had it towed to Bermudez because my Wife was told he was a good foreign mechanic. He diagnosed the car and told me that both fuel pumps, yes plural had to be replaced. He also said since he had the gas tank out, that he recommends replacing the sending unit, because he already had the gas tank removed. When I picked up the car and it ran fine. A few days later the fuel gauge would not work. He said to bring it in and he would check it. He said the wiring harness was bad and replaced it. The next day the same problem with the fuel gauge. I took it back two more times and both times he said it was a wiring issue. I started to smell gas inside the car and Armando said the instrument panel was the problem and wanted to replace it and charge me. I told him the instrument panel is not the issue. The gauge worked fine before he replaced the sending unit, 3 times. He gave me a lot of double talk about Mercedes had a lot of recalls with that model and said take it to the dealer. Basically he was tired of working on my car and didn’t know how to fix it. It seemed he didn’t know what he was doing because the gas gauge works off of the sending unit and it was fine until he started working on it.

I finally took it to MBZ of Walnut Creek. The service tech diagnosed that the fuel pumps were put on wrong and they were leaking gas which puddled under the seat and carpet. Thank GOD my wife and children didn’t blow up!! I was shocked when the service writer told me that the gas puddled up on the wiring where the sending unit plugged into the fuel pumps.

Please, please do not take your car and do not use BERMUDEZ Auto Service!!!!!!!!!
