Provided by DexKnowsI would recommend that you NEVER take any of your fishing gear to this store to be submitted for warranty. the proprietor is your best friend when you're purchasing his goods, but is apathetic and lackluster at best when it comes to taking care of warranty issues on past purchases. Turn times are much longer than what are promised by the owner, and when you call or stop by to check on the shipping status not only does he treat you like a nuisance, he makes up stories as to where it's at and when it will arrive. Horrible service after the sale!!!

Provided by DexKnowsI have been going to Rich's shop since he opened.....he keeps adding more fly tying materials...it is by far the best selection I have seen...if he doesn't have it ... he will have it for you the next day........he knows his stuff and is willing to share it. thumbs up. there is no uppity feeling here....just willingness to serve the angler.

Provided by DexKnowsGreat place for shopping fly fishing equipment. Owner seems to be an honest guy and genuinely offers his advice. It ca be overwhelming at first but if you just embrace it you'll have a good time and get friendly help on what you need. He seems enthusiastic about life and also fly fishing! I'll be back for sure.

Provided by DexKnowsRich runs a nice clean, well stocked shop and his commitment to customer service is second to none. The absolute best Fly Shop in the Billings area. Pay them a visit if it's just for the experience. Rich's enthusiasm is contagious.

Provided by DexKnowsI went in with my $25 gift certificate and was greeted friendily by a big fan of AC DC how refreshing to know that music can form a common ground - he asked me where I was going to fish and recommended several choices and told me about their commitment to good fishing - 14 streams and rivers since begining of the year (don't quote me ?)I purchased an extra $5 worth and headed up to East Rosebud - FIRST cast was a 10" Brookie and above the Lake I had 2 more. Below the lake I caught and released 12 fish and missed a brown when trying to land it - no net - dang it ! - may be my next purchase I WILL be back - John Mclean - thanks for the memories !!

Provided by DexKnowsAbsolutely the best customer service I have ever experienced in a fly shop in my entire life! The gentleman working there kindly greeted me as I walked in and asked if there was anything i needed help with, which of course I did. He answered all of my questions directly and honestly, with a high level of detail and knowledge. I was treated genuinely as a Human being. Never was I bombarded with opinions, or told what i "should do", or where i "should go", and when I finally made my decision on what to purchase. He sincerely thanked my for the business, and wished me luck on my forthcoming fishing trip. I will never shop any other local fly shop!

Provided by DexKnowsI have gone into East Rosebud a half dozen times or so and found them very knowledgeable, they had every thing I was looking for, and actually made the shopping experience enjoyable (not the least bit snobby, which is often a stretch in comparison to many other shops that I have encountered). Aside from some great suggestions on gear and flies, they willingly provided local knowledge that paid dividends on future fishing trips. Perhaps the best thing about the shop is the complete selection of tying materials, many of which aren't available anywhere else in town, and the great local (Montana) angling art.
