Don't even bother coming to this norms. As soon as we entered they had us standing there until a lady decided to let us now we had to write out name on the list. Isn't that her job? At least let us know instead of having us stand there like idiots Anyway we were over it . However the waiter we had the misfortune of getting had bad service as soon as he sat down he had an annoyed and mad face. He refused to let us order one of the dishes from the kids menu because it's for "10 and under" as it would have made a difference for him. Which now it did with his pity tip he received. Not happy at all I suggested going to a diffrent norms or just go to IHOP
I highly recommend this restaurant because The service is excellent, the food is excellent and the price is excellent. I t was my favorite restaurant when I resided in Lakewood. I moved to another State but when I visit Southern California, I always go there.. The Service, Food, Cleanliness, is AAAA+
Norm's is a great family restaurant, with outstanding service and good, old-fashioned food. The portions are large, so go hungry. The fare is basic American, and the specials are usually outstanding values, sometimes including desserts. This restaurant is open 24/7, and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner at all hours.
Typical breakfast entrees include the usual omelets, steak and eggs (several versions and cuts), and hotcakes/waffles. Lunch entrees include huge salads such as chef or cobb, hamburgers, sandwiches, soups, and even a Veggie burger.
Dinner entrees vary from steaks, pork, pasta, chicken, fish, and include soup and salad, and choice of potato or rice. They always have some sort of daily specials, so you can save a lot on a great meal and get a great deal. They also have old-fashioned dessert options like ice-cream floats, banana-splits, and malts.
The service is good, and the waitresses/waiters are attentive. However, be prepared to wait if it is one of their unusually busy periods, such as holidays, breakfast and lunch rushes, and it is a popular destination for barhoppers stopping in for some fortifying nourishment after a night of partying.
However, you will enjoy the casual atmosphere, and it is a great place to bring children (they do have a special children's menu, and will make something special for your child(children) if you request it.
