We had a ac unit on a new construction. Franks had bid it with sn ac that was really insufficient for the sq forage in the home. Our third summer we had trouble with it keeping temp. We paid for a die test. At a later date a different repairman from Franks inadvertently let us know that the die test we had paid for. We did end up getting their die test we had paid for months before. Then they diagnosed it as a bad A coil and had an astronomical price saying it was out of warranty. We had a different company come out, not trusting Franks anymore. It was a bad A coil, but the part WAS still under the manufactures warranty and we had the second company do the repair paying much less in just labor. Franks had installed it originally but it took the other company to find it under warranty. ODD wouldn't you think???
