After calling prior to visiting the service center, I was informed that the only procedure I would need would be an emissions test. Much to my chagrin, the technician informed me that I would need an inspection in addition to emissions testing, and at that point attempted to sell me windshield wipers that I knew I didn't need. After arguing unnecessarily, he added an additional expense to my bill - he had gone into my car, taken my new state license plates out of my car and replaced them at cost! I was paying for a service that I could have done for myself, without anyone asking me if I needed it or not. The entire ordeal lasted 2.5 hours, when his initial estimate was 45 minutes. I left tired, frustrated, and incredibly disappointed.
