Service is what you would expect for a hole in the wall type place, friendly and helpful. I sat at the bar, ordered a beer and checked the menu. TexAmeriMex is what I call it. Chili is their special gift to the world. The wings, however, are the gem. Just as you would expect they fry them, then sauce them in a variety of flavors, but they are not done yet. They put them on the broil grill for a few minutes to sear in the flavors. Crispy and full of flavor. Texas is their own secret recipe, but the Old Bay is great, too. Don't go here without trying the wings,or the chili.

Great food, great people, great atmosphere; Fred & company do it right!

I'm a girl watcher and I am never disappointed with the scenery when I visit the Hard Times in Old Town. I'm not surprised the ladies favor the place because it has a warm, friendly atmosphere. Be warned, however, because it's such a great gathering place for the young and beautiful, there is generally a waiting period before being seated.
