I went to The Family Law Firm to help me close out my case. I only had a 1 hour deposition with opposing attorney which I had already set and a 2 hour hearing to determine child support. When I meet with attorney I informed him that I was not working and did not have a lot of money to spend on this case.was told that he felt he could get deposition dropped and that we probably would not even need the 2 hour hearing due to child support was a number determined by a standardize state worksheet. I was told he would have it worked out. When I return from vacation, I was shocked to find out that he did not get deposition drop but rather had change to date. I did not ask for that or approved it. Then to top it off he calls me on the day he changed it too to say he could not make it. He talked to me for less than 25 minutes but charged me 1 1/2 plus charged me to change the date, charge me to explain to the replacement lawyer. Never saw him until an hour before hearing and then his game plan was to waste time so other attorney could not ask questions. I ask if he had tried to work out the amount with other attorney and he said he did not want too. The lawyer did not have a clue as to what other attorney was planning and was schooled by opposing attorney and caused my child support to be twice as much as he thought it should be. He did a poor job and billed me with over 20 hour of billing.
